Carrier Mills, Illinois. I believe Hester is buried next to Henry but there is no marker.
Henry served as a private in the Union Army from 1 Oct 1861 to 21 July 1865 in the
42nd Infantry Regiment Indiana, under Cols, James G. Jones, William T.B. McIntire
and Gideon R. Kellmans.
Henry & Hester had four children; Sarah Colvin Van Hoy, Lucy Colvin Tanner,
Thomas Franklin Colvin and Arthur H. Colvin.
Lucy & Howell Tanner are buried next to Henry seprated by one plot. I believe this is where
Hester is buried.
